Am here at a place called Suites...Jail House Rock!

Views from our minimum security Jail...migt I add, what I initially thought were snow strips on the Sierra (on google images) turned out to be bare naked quarry sites for the world's largest cement company CEMEX.

Suites from the outside
Roof top overlooking the mountains.
7:15 AM, sunrise.

Looking east from the roof top.
My studio.

  1. It does have the aesthetic of a jail somehow??? Was it used as something else before or is this just a hint of life in the surroundings?? Thanks for sharing your blog link by the way :) Looking forward to all your adventures there! - L

  2. No it's brand new, the roof floor hasn't even been completed! But yes, the fortress look is sort of how life is here...kind of wierdly scary. We don't go anywhere alone, not even the 711 over the next block. And this is supposed to be the safest neighborhood in Latin America...go figure!
